CONSTRUCTION DETAILS OF USF SUN DOME MANAGED BY GLOBAL SPECTRUM

The University of South Florida, the USF Athletics Department and Global Spectrum, operators of the newly renovated USF Sun Dome have taken great leaps and bounds to make the venue one of the best and most desirable to attend of its kind. Hard work and long hours are a substantial factor in making the facility the best it can be as it under goes an amazing transformation in preparation for a big debut in the near future.

Over 112,800 man hours have been logged during the renovation. This comes out to an average of 200 + construction workers daily, all of which have been working around the clock, seven days a week to meet deadlines to make sure that the arena is ready for USF graduation on May 4th and 5th. Over 25 subcontractors, performing at least 32 different trades are located or headquartered in the Tampa Bay Region.

Skanska who is heading the project, is one of the world's leading construction groups. In the U.S., they are a provider of comprehensive construction services and a developer of public-private partnerships. Skanksa applies its expertise to everything from small renovations to billion-dollar projects, using a variety of delivery methods.
